Bye!

Well, the project went in on Thursday, complete with new improved photos. And I had my last lecture of term on Friday afternoon - it was on epliepsy but unfortunately not very useful because it was clinical rather than relevent to the scientific focus of our exams, and not very interesting because it was almost identical to a lecture we had last year. I also had a Principal's Collection on Friday - a 2 minute meeting that we have to do a couple of times a year so that the college principal can check how everyone is doing. That went fine, and I also had drinks with my tutors and all the other preclinical Brasenose medics in the evening. The second years have their 1st BM Part II exams this week so those that turned up looked fairly stressed and returned to the library pretty quickly.

The chemical pharmacology exam has also been and gone - reasonably well considering the last minute revision. I'll have to wait a month or so for the results but considering not a lot of my time has gone into the supplementary subject, I'm not too bothered about it. The exam was after the end of term so I left a bit later than most people but I'm home now and having a break before I start on any holiday work. As well as the usual revision, I'll need to write presentation to go with my project and finish off my submitted essay.

Our termtimes haven't been moved at all for the timing of Easter so I've broken up quite a bit earlier than most of my friends and I go back on Easter weekend. So seeing friends will have to wait until later in the holidays. At the moment, I don't mind having not a lot to do but I'm sure it'll get boring soon.

See you next term!
Bye!

Hi,

I've just written my last essay of the term! I've got quite a bit of work still to do this weekend though because I'm finishing off my project. I took some more results photos on Friday and although one of them isn't quite as good as the lost one it replaces, I'm happy to have at least soemthing to fill in the gaps. I might have time to try taking more this week but if I don't what I have will do.

I also discussed the write-up of my project with my supervisor on Friday, and I'm now in the process of making some rearrangements based on his comments. Somehow I seem to have gained an extra page whilst changing the text around (there is a 10-page limit) so now I've got to work out what to cut out.

Next week I won't have an essay to research because its the last week of term but I will need to start revising for my chemical pharmacology supplementary subject exam. I have three more lectures, with reading lists, so I probably won't be able to start revising until a few days before the exam but it is on material that we have already covered in first and second year so hopefully it won't be too tricky to remember it all. Also, although a good mark can help bump up a border-line finals grade, there is no penalty for a bad mark so I have nothing to lose in giving it a go.
